Lady Powerscourt's Disappearing Dress Appears!

Lady Powerscourt (Amelia Wingfield) has had the dress made for a ball that she and Lord Powerscourt (Richard Wingfield) will be attending that evening. Their six children have other ideas for the dress though! Read the book & then follow their adventure in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre. The dress designed by renowned Irish Designer Synan O'Mahony recreated the amazing dress which was so beautifully illustrated by Tarsilla Kruse in the wonderful book 'Lady Powerscourt's Disappearing Dress' written by Shireen Marcus. The dress is on display in Powerscourt Townhouse Centre now.Synan has a unique talent for corsetry and a background in not only couture fashion but also in costume design which made him the perfect choice to bring Lady Powerscourt's dress to life. Synan recreated the dress with 8ft panniers using purple & mauve taffeta with embroidered beaded tulle, organza gathered ribbon and pom-pom detail.
